This reminds me alot of the fairy tale, "The Fisherman and His Wife". (You can Google for the story.)
This is a really good episode of "ToT". The acting is good and no one chews the scenery too much. I loved the ending.

Subject: The little black bag holds more than we think
Very interesting and very well acted. The fatally greedy wife had a tough role to play but she nailed it. The doctor was able to play both a down on the heels man and yet able to see this little black bag belonged to all of us. Perhaps a pawn shop has something for each of us. Of course, we have to be willing to go all the way.
